About Sapele
Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum) is one of the most popular African hardwoods for joinery. Its interlocked grain produces a distinctive ribbon-stripe figure on quartered faces. Rich reddish-brown colour deepens with age. Works well with machine tools — care needed on quartersawn faces. Good durability (Class 3) and stability. A reliable choice for internal and external doors, windows, and furniture.
